Survivor Celebration

Orienteering
I had lots of fun doing this amazing activity. We did it with Miss Sowden. what we did was, go on like a hunt and find some letters. After we found the letters we found a clue to what the word was. After we found that we tried to find out what the word was. Me and my group got it and other but other groups didn't.  Like I said I had lots of fun doing it.

Fire
 We did the fire with Mrs Kennedy. It was lots of fun. First of all we did like a little fire with sticks, well a start of a fire because we couldn't get it to lit. Then after that we tried to get a spark out of the flit. it was really cool trying to give it a go, it was also really challenging. I liked doing this very much.

Cooking
For cooking we did it with Mrs Heaven. We made banana desert and also a potato with ham and cheese. It was really yum. We had lot's of fun doing this one too. It was really cool that we even got to do cooking and the other things.

I had a awesome time doing  all of these activity's. It was so so fun to give it a go.

Chapter Chat

This is my big Chapter Chat for the term. The hardest part was colouring in because it's hard to stay in the lines. The easiest part was drawing it because like most times I know in my head what I want to do. I had lots of fun doing this activity this term. This is always the bit if the term that I love doing because it is so fun and exiting. I hope you like my Chapter Chat for this term.

Year Six Bike Ride

These are some photos from the year six bike ride me and my dad went on. The first photo is me and my dad biking. That was when he catch up with me and than we were racing really fast. The only thing is that we went past where we were suppose to. It was really funny. But luckily we went to where we would be going anyway. When Mr Fraser catch us he said something like he bust himself to catch up to me and my dad. The second photo is when we were walking with our bikes on the walking path. When we came down to the concert bit he got photos of all of us kids and maybe adults. It was really fun seeing all the beautiful views and nature. I am really happy I went on this bike ride and that my dad came too.
The hardest part was biking 20k really fast the whole way. I'm happy we stop for breaks. The easiest part was well nothing I think it was all challenging. I loved seeing and feeling all of it. I had tons of fun on this awesome amazing bike ride. Me and my dad loved all of it a lot.

Bush walk Back Pack

This is my back pack. I had lots of fun doing this and can't wait to see what we will be doing next. I put what I put in the back pack because those are the things I thought I would need to have on me just in cause. The hardest part was thinking of what I might need. The easiest part was getting the photos.

Keys Of Survival

Clean Water
You want clean water to drink and to stay alive when in the wild. Water is the most important thing you need

1 Make sure you go somewhere with nature water sources

2 Don't bring a water bottle but do bring a filter

3 Flowing water is safer to drink than puddles and lakes
4 Try drink clean water not dirty

Shelters
When you are staying over night in the wild you need to build a shelter  to keep warm

1 Try build your shelter on flat and dry ground 

2 Try build it up on high ground

3 Try build a shelter that will fight the cold air
4 Don't  build it by a lake or river

These are some things that might be helpful in the wild

S stands for stop

O stands for observe

P stands for plan

Fire
A fire is something you need to keep as warm as you can and the smoke goes up in the air so someone might see you and help you out

1 Try make your fire as small as you can

2 The fire needs to be build where the wind will not blow directly on it

3 you will need tinder, kindling and logs

Basic First Aid
When you get hurt in the wild you might want a basic first aid to heel it

1 Get a box and put some helpful things in it

2 Put something basic in it to start fires

3 Put a compass in it so you know where you are
4 Sticks, leafs and vines might help

Signaling for help
When you are stuck in the wild and you see someone try some of these things to try get them to help you
1 You can call out for help
2 You can build you shelter on a hill or high ground
3 Try get in contact with someone
4  Smoke from your fire
5 Try and whistle

This is my chapter Chat for this week. The hardest part was colouring the rainbow because it was hard to not go over the block letters. The easiest part was writing the letters ghost. I had lots of fun doing this activity and I can't wait till next time to try and do even better than this week.

Reef Knot

This is my reef knot that I tied. It took me a while to learn how to tie this knot but I did it in the end like the other knot I did. I had lots of fun doing this knot as well as the other two that I did. This knot is used to tie two ends of a single rope pieces together such that they will secure something. I give this knot a 4/5  because it was fun to do but it was really hard, l'm happy I keep trying to do it.

Alpine butterfly knot

This is my Alpine butterfly knot. I had lots of fun trying to tie this knot because it was a real challenge to do. I tried my best and in the end I did it. This knot is good to create an attachment point to the middle of a climbing rope. I would give this a 3/5 because I liked the challenge but it got a little to hard.

Figure eight knot

This is my figure eight knot.If you ask me I would say that this knot is a really fun one to learn how to tie. Its nice and simple to do. Its also really good when your climbing up a mountain. It is know as one of the strongest knots. This is a really good knot that you can tie because its really strong and I think you can use it for different things. I would give this a 4/5 because it was fun to learn how to tie but it was also really difficult.

Putting up a tent as a team

This is the tent me and my troop put up together. The easiest part was having the photo taking and the hardest part was taking the tent down because the poles keep coming apart. I had lot's of fun doing this with my team and I think we worked really well all together. I can't wait to see what we will be doing next. Hopefully we get a gold badge because we worked so well as a team.

Putting up our amazing Shelter as a great team

For making our Shelter I think we all worked as a great team. I think the hardest part was  thinking of a way to make a shelter and agree on it. The easiest part was was having the photo taking because my mum takes photos of me all the time and I'm use to it. I have had lot's of fun working with my team and to make the shelter and everything and can't wait to see what we will be next that we do as a group. How we made our tent was tie the rope to one tree and then one tree next to it. Then put the tarp on the rope and then in the little holes put sticks in so the tarp doesn't blow away.

Athletics Day

Athletics Day
Athletics day was really fun. Like normal I got up early out of bed to get ready for the big day that was a head of me. This year I did the long jump, shot put, all the runs and high jump that I have never done ever. In high jump I think I did really well with not of done it at all before. The first jump I got over on my first go and same with when they made it higher. but when they made it higher again I just couldn't get over, I almost did but I didn't make it over. With long jump I don't know what place I came but I think I did well. Shot put I didn't make it through but that's not the one that I love doing, the running is. This year for all the races in the 100m I got into the final and I think I came about maybe third. then I did the 800m and almost came first but I think I just gave in and came third. The 200m I got into the finals is well and almost came first but I ended up coming second place. I think I should be proud of myself for my effort and giving it my best try.

CC W5 T4

This week I did research centre and had lot's of fun doing it. The hardest part of it was picking the records I was going to do because  there was so many of them to chose from. The easiest part was getting the photos of the people because for me that's simple you just have to pick which one you want. This connects to the story because at the start of the book he was always going on about the world records. He said in the book that Usain Bolt was the fastest at running so I did him. I picked another task to do from another week because this is the one I really wanted to try and give a go.

The Falcons amazing shelters they would like to have a go at building.

These are the two bush shelters that we would like to have a go at building. We think that the
one on the left is the one that we are most likely to build. We are going to do our best and work as a
team to build a shelter altogether. We are all really excited to start building it to see what it will look like
in the end. The tools that we think we will need to be using is teamwork, rope, and tarp also maybe some
sticks. To get through this and finish it we will need to use our learning powers and work together as a
team.

Shelter Building Blog Post

1. Shelters are use to protect people from things like harsh elements and animals
from the wild that will hurt you. Some animals that might hurt you are wolves, any
big cats, maybe foxes, some insects can hurt you and lots of other things. Some
shelters are used to fight the cold and others are used to protect you from the heat.
When trying to survive in a jungle area a shelter can be used to lift a person off the
ground providing a dry sleeping area.

2. If you build your shelter by running water like a lake or a river it is easier to get
water to drink. I would call this a pro but you don't want to make it to close to a river or a lake
or the water could wash you away. I think the water washing you away would be a con. some more
pros are that shelters are easy and quick to build and it can be water proof if built correctly.
Some more cons are it might take a lot of tools require to be built right and shelters are normally not
very big so it might only have a naff shelter for one person.

3. You should try to avoid building your shelter on the top of a hill because you might
get cold wind all the time and cold air at night time. But if you do build your shelter on a hill
people might be able to see you and help you. I think a good place to build a shelter is on flat ground
so you don't have that much of a cold wind coming through at night time and in the day time. never build your shelter on the dump ground.

4. Materials to build you shelter might be wood, leaves, rope, sticks and lot's of other things. to build a shelter you have to have things to be able to make it. So I think it's what ever you can find to make it or what ever you have on you to make it.

Chapter Chat Week Three Term Four

This is my Chapter Chat for this week. The hardest part was thinking of what to add because I am not very good at that stuff. The easiest part was making the avatar because for me that is really simple. I had lot's of fun this week and I really enjoyed myself. I am proud of my efforts for this week. Can't wait until next week to do another amazing task.

Blog Post Bonus

This is my Blog Post Bonus. Te hardest part was writing all about calf club because I had to thin of everything to say. The easiest part was colouring because like I've said before I've done it a lot of times. I guess the Blog Post Bonus is just to do something extra to put on your blog. I had fun writing about calf club and I wonder what will the Blog Post Bonus will be next time.

Chapter Chat Week Two Term four

This is my Chapter Chat for this week. The hardest part was thinking of what to say because I never really write letters to people. The easiest part was drawing the flower because I always draw them all the time.  This letter connects to the story because he really needed new shoes so I write a letter to my grandma and granddad saying how much I need new shoes. I had fun just like I always do and can't wait till my next post. Bye

Calendar Art 2019

This year for my Calendar art I did space. It was really fun to do this and it took me some time. The hardest part was to draw all of it because I never really draw space that much at all. The easiest part was gluing the photo of my face on the paper because I glue things a lot and I know how to glue things. I think I did really good and can't wait to see what we are doing next year. Calendar art is a fun thing we do each year. A form goes out once all the art is finish for you to to get it and have a look. There are lots of things you can get. This art can be brought for anyone. It is something that your family gets and looks at. I think that all family members love the art that comes home to them. Like I said I had lots of fun and can't wait until next year when we do some more awesome art.

Term 4 Week 1 Chapter Chat Creation Station

This is my Chapter Chat task for week one term 4 2019. The hardest part of it was drawing the people because I don't draw people that much at all. The easiest part of it was drawing the race tack because a race tack is really easy to draw. I had lot's f fun doing this task. This connects to the story because Ghost and Lu had a race. The coach didn't know who won because it was really close. I think that Ghost just came first. Like I said I had lots of fun and I will see you next time.

Beast Blog on the Block

Hi for the third time for the same thing. This, yes you guessed it is the best blog on the block challenge. But this time I am here for something different. Be  peppered to be amazed with this activity. This time we had to make a dream holiday for a whole week. I, for my holiday am going to Waikawau. For this activity I used slides to make it really cool. On each slide it has something that I am going to do each day. The hardest part was thinking of what to do each day because there was lots of things to chose from. The easiest part was picking the photos because that's always a quick thing you do. Best Blog on the Block

Hi again I am back with anther Blog on the block. This time I tried to do a book cover. We had to pick a book that we have reed at school or home and I picked the book light jar. The hardest part was trying to make it look like the real book cover and the easiest part was picking the book to do. This task was really fun and if I have time I will do anther task so until then, you have lots of fun.

Best Blog on the block

This week we are doing best blog around the block. So for the challenge I decided to do the Chapter Chat task. For this task we pick just one to do and I did the survival shoe. I had lot's of fun doing this. The hardest part was drawing the shoe and thinking of what you would need to survive because I have never drew a she before and it was just really hard to think of what you would need. The easiest part was doing the sharpie because I just had to go over the pencil. Like I said I had really good fun doing this and now it is tie to do the next blog on the block.

Fabulous Finish Week 9

This week I have been working really hard on my Fabulous Finish. We had two weeks to make it as best as we could and make it a over flowing jar of honey. The easiest part was doing my plan because  I knew who and what I wanted to do. The hardest part doing all the colouring in because I had to think really hard of what colours to do and it was hard staying in the lines. I had lots of fun and can't wait until next term to be reading a new book and doing more fun things.

Chapter Chat Week 7

This is  my chapter chat for this week. This week I did it with Shiloh and we had lots of fun together. We decided to the create the suit case that Stanley and Zero found in the hole. The easy part was doing the drawing because we knew what we wanted to do. The hardest part was the colouring in because it was really hard to stay in the lines and pick what colour we were going to use. This connects to the story because Stanley and Zero went back down the hill and to the hole to find whatever the warden was looking for. They ended up finding something shaped like a suit case and when they opened it, They saw lots and lots of jewels.

I had lot's and lot's of fun this week. This week I did the awesome digital design. The hardest part was doing the avatars because I don't know what the people look like. The easiest part was saying why. This connects to the story because Zero and Stanley took of and went missing. I also did the wanted poster of Kissing Kate Barlow for something else to do. Like I said I had lot's of fun this week and I can't wait until next time.

Chapter Chat Term 3 Week 5 2019. This week for Chapter Chat  I did the amazing vocab. I had lot's of fun doing this task and I hope it's this fun next week. The hardest part was doing all my bleeding because I had to think of all the colours that would look good on pick. The easiest part was picking my piece of paper. This connects to the story because these words were used in the story.

Term Three Week 4 2019. This week for chapter chat I did what I think Stanley would of write in his diary. Anther way to say it is I did a way with words. I think this connects to the story because maybe Stanley has a diary and he's written about his time at Camp Green Lake. The hardest part was thinking of what to write and how much I should write. Chapter Chat Week 3

This is my Chapter Chat week three 2019. This week I had lot's of fun doing my creative station. The hardest part was making up my new invention and the easiest part was colouring it in. This invention is a lollie maker. It makes the yum-est lollies that you blow in and then it makes the most beautiful sound. This connects to the story because Stanley's dad is a inventor so this week we could make our own inventions. I can't wait until next time when I get to tell you more.

Chapter Chat Week two

This is my chapter chat for week two Term three 2019. This week I have had lot's of fun doing my chapter chat about my dream job for my fantastic favourite. I live on a farm and when I grow up I would like to work on one because it's really fun being able to have mud on my skin and lot's of other reasons. Farmer is like a part of my family because on my dads side his two brothers are on a farm his mum and dad are on a farm and lots of other people. The easy part was thinking of why I would like to be a farmer because I already know. The hardest part was doing the colouring because I had a hard time thinking of what colours would go with pencil. Chapter Chat week One

This week me and Shiloh did research about Rattlesnakes.
We found out lot's of things about them and we also did a sing saying Rattlesnakes beware. We had lot's of fun and we can't wait until next week.

Chapter Chat Week 9

This is my fabulous finish for this week. I think I did a really good job and i'm really happy because I tried my best. The charter I choose to do was Mr Daniels. The book that we read I would rate a 10/10 because I think it was a really good book and I think it makes you believe that you can do so many other things. I think it was hard to do all the flaps on him and it was easy to colour him in.

For this week I did a new book cover for fish in a tree. The grass was probably the hardest part because I had to get lot's of little triangles and put them into place. The easiest part  was writing fish in a tree. I think this week I did really good and I should be really proud of myself. In the book Ally feels like a fish in a tree because she can't read and write and it makes learning really hard for her and people like Shay is mean to her.

This week for chapter chat I did my fantasist favourite. I had lot's of fun doing it and I also did it with Rebecca. It was really hard to cut the letters out and it was easy to put the lights on. I think we did a really good job.

This is my chapter chat for week five and term two 2019. This week the hardest part was the research because I don't really know how to play the game chess. The easiest part was like I've said before the blending because I've done it so many times before. This week I am very proud of my effort and I did research centre witch was really fun. I am really looking forward to next week.

This is my chapter chat week 4 term 2 2019. I had lot's of fun doing this active and the one that I chose to do was vocab. I did this with a partner and the partner that I did it with was Shiloh. The hardest thing to do was finding out all the meanings and the easiest thing to do was the blending because I've done it lot's of times. I did this for my pick'n mix on my sheet. I think that me and Shiloh did a awesome job and that we should be really proud of our work. The block letters that we blended blue are the words that we were researching. We found out a few things about these words and some things they mean.

Blog Post week 8 Term one. For this week the blog post is about telling people about a time that you had to pick about something it's called fellow your heart. I picked calf club because you have to pick your animal. I think that it was not to hard or to easy it was just right.I think I picked a really good calf called Joey.

This is my Book Buzz for week nine and Term one. I think I could improve on taking my time a little more on the back ground. It was easy to draw all of it and it was hard to think of what to write. I think I did really well on my Book Buzz this week.
